Announcing Concord Reads 2026

We're excited to announce this year’s selected Concord Reads title and author, and invite you to attend a variety of FREE programming, produced in partnership with the Concord Public Library. We hope you join us in reading Of Time and Turtles - Mending the World Shell by Shattered Shell, written by nationally bestselling NH author Sy Montgomery and illustrated by Matt Patterson. We're also featuring their children’s book The True and Lucky Life of a Turtle. You can check out copies of the books at each of the Concord Public Library branches.

The full schedule of events is listed on our website, starting on Tuesday, April 7th and culminating in the main event, a discussion with the author and illustrator on Thursday, April 23rd at the Bank of NH Stage. Events include kids' and adult crafts, storytelling, a discussion on threatened and endangered wildlife conservation, and live reptiles!

All events are free of charge thanks to our generous supporters. Registration is required for each event through the Library's website. Be sure to sign up as soon as possible - some events are expected to fill up.

Concord Reads is a citywide literary event encouraging community members to read and discuss the same book. Celebrate the power of books in creating a stronger community! Concord Reads events are free and open to all.
