The mission of the Library's Volunteer Program is to encourage and expand the involvement of community volunteers who work with staff, as partners, to provide quality service to others while furthering the mission of the Concord Public Library.

Volunteer to support your library!
There are many ways you can get involved and make a real difference in supporting the Concord Public Library!
We are lucky to have almost 40 dedicated volunteers who help keep the library running on a day-to-day basis. Jobs that our volunteers take on include:
- Maintaining the book sale
- Newspaper indexing
- Data entry
- Unpacking new books and media
- Processing new books
- Mending damaged items
- Processing discarded items
- Assisting with library events
Special projectsVolunteers are also occasionally needed for one-time or short-term projects such as:
- Compiling information packets
- Landscape work
- Moving projects
- Spring cleaning
