Why give to the Concord Public Library Foundation?
Dreams are free, but the libraries that inspire them are not. Your support ensures that our library can grow and thrive, and serve our community, for many, many years to come. Thanks to the generous commitment of friends like you, the Concord Library Foundation is able to supplement and enhance the library services provided by the City of Concord — funds which are increasingly limited by budget constraints and the increasing demands of competing City services.
There are many different ways you can help:
- One-time or annual gifts
- Planned gifts
- In-Kind Donations
- Corporate and Foundation Support
- Tributes and Memorials
Why donate to a tax-supported institution?
The Concord Public Library is a department of the City of Concord, which through the City budget process provides funding for staff, collections, facilities, and operating expenses. The Library Foundation partners with the private sector (donors like you!) to secure funds to support programs and resources not included in the city budget. Other than funding a range of special projects and events, the Foundation is being increasingly called upon to fund essential library services and capital needs that will keep the Concord Public Library the mainstay of freely accessible knowledge, resources, and hope that is fundamental to our American democracy — and directly linked to the economic vitality of our community.
